Daily Devotions for Sunday 4th February, 2024
Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God
Reading : EXODUS chapter 5
Meditation : take time and consider these words this Sunday morning
Bricks without straw
Unfair treatment
What encourages and challenges you today?
What words stay with you?
And then pray in response to the LORD our God
Pray your own prayer as you step into today.
Naming others receiving unfair treatment at this time
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Midday
Pray the Prayer for the Month as your own midday prayer
O LORD our God
The God of Moses and Joshua
The God of miracles and signs
O LORD our God
Come near to us
O LORD our God
The God of miracles and signs
The God of holy things
O LORD our God
Be merciful to us
O LORD our God
The God of holy things
The God of battles and victories
O LORD our God
Help us we call out
In Jesus’ name
Amen and Amen
Evening
Reading : read these verses again from EXODUS chapter 5
Reflect on all that happens here in this particular passage
and then Pray in response to this God
O LORD, our Great God,
Hear our evening prayers of praise we ask
As we thank you for what we read
As we look back over our day
As we look ahead to tomorrow
As we name before you those receiving unfair treatment
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
