Pause to Pray for Others

On this Friday in Lent…as the nation and the world wrestles with the virus and vaccine supplies…and the crisis in Ukraine is a major concern before us in our world … you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to continue to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world – and for all those in need on our Church Prayer List at this time – and for parts of the world in turmoil at this time

For family and friends and neighbours affected by the coronavirus

For world leaders at this time

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For those who are feeling anxious about financial matters at this time

Daily Devotions for Thursday 31st March, 2022

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : LEVITICUS 22 verses 14-33

Meditation : take time and consider these words this morning.
The Holiness of Offerings
Which words stay with you?
What is God teaching you about Himself?

Then pause to praise and pray to this holy and good God

All your creatures, LORD, will praise you,
and all your people will give you thanks.
They will speak of the glory of your royal power
and tell of your might,
so that everyone will know your mighty deeds
and the glorious majesty of your kingdom.
Your rule is eternal,
and you are king forever.
The LORD is faithful to his promises;
he is merciful in all his acts.
He helps those who are in trouble;
he lifts those who have fallen.

And so we bring our sacrifice of praise to you, our God
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those on your personal prayer list
God of grace…hear our prayers and pour a blessing we ask on each and all

Evening
Reading : read these words again from LEVITICUS 22 verses 14-33
Reflect on the words and images – at the end of your day
and Pray with honest humility in response to this God – our God

People will speak of your mighty deeds,
and I will proclaim your greatness.
They will tell about all your goodness
and sing about your kindness.
The LORD is loving and merciful,
slow to become angry and full of constant love.
He is good to everyone
and has compassion on all he made.

O LORD, hear our evening prayers
As we step into a new month
Together
With You

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
