Evening Prayer with Others

As we step into the weekend….. with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from ESTHER chapter 6 verses 1-13 – as we consider BEFORE THE GOOD NEWS – GOD’S PLAN BEGINS through 2024.

We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer as the day closes….

We REJOICE in the help and blessings He has given this particular Friday – to us and to others

We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others in our church family and our nation and in our world at this time – especially prayerfully supporting the people of Israel, Gaza, Ukraine, Russia, Yemen and other parts of our world in deep need at this time

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : ESTHER chapter 6 vs 1-13
Meditation : take time to consider these verses this morning
Mordecai is honoured

What words stay with you?
Is God calling you to honour someone today…

Then take time to Pray in response
With thanksgiving for another

In Jesus’ name.
Amen and Amen – we pray together.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those on our Church Prayer List.
Father God, hear our prayers, have mercy on each and all we ask

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from ESTHER chapter 6 vs 1-13
Reflect on what happens here
and pray in response to this God

LORD God, Our God,
Hear our evening prayers
As we return our sacrifice of praise for who you are
And your help even this day in leading us
Forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who have sinned against us even today
As we bring ourselves and our world to you at the end of this day.
Amen.

O LORD, hear our prayers and pour out help and mercy we ask

Evening
Reading : read the set verses again from ESTHER chapter 5
Reflect on these events again at the end of your day
and Pray in response to this God of ours with confidence

As we thank You for Your help and provision in our lives.

Who has asked you for help recently?

Then turn to pray to this God in response

O LORD our God
Thank you for these words
And all they teach us
Receive my sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving
For all Your help given
Even to me
In Jesus’ name
Amen

Pray God’s blessing on the members of the Royal Family
O LORD, give wisdom and help and hear our prayers we ask this day.

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from ESTHER chapter 4
Reflect on the words you have read and then pray in response – to this God, our God

LORD God, our God,
Our Great Helper
God who deserves our thanks
Hear the evening prayers of your people
For we are indeed in need of rescue from this world
