Daily Devotions for Resurrection Sunday 20th April, 2025

Easter RESURRECTION Day!

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God

Reading : ISAIAH chapter 55
Meditation : take time and consider this chapter again this Easter Sunday morning.
Come! Come! Come!

What do these words mean for you today?
Who can you bring to the Risen Jesus today?

And then pray in response – to this generous God
With Easter thankfulness!

In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

Midday
Pray the Prayer for the Month as your own midday prayer

Father God, Our God
We can but offer to you
Our sacrifice of praise
For loving us
For sending Jesus
For triumphing over
The Cross
The Tomb

Holy Spirit
Cleanse us
Fill us
Again and again
Use us
Even us

To God be the glory
Great things You have Done!

In Jesus’ name
Amen and Amen!!

Evening
Reading : read these particular verses again from ISAIAH chapter 55
Reflect on the words and wonderful offers given and then Pray in response to this God

O LORD, hear our evening prayers we ask
As we thank you for the blessings of this Easter Sunday
As we believe and trust in you
As we pilgrimage on towards tomorrow and where you send us
With hope and confidence in You above all others
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Palm Sunday Evening Prayer with Others

As we step into Holy Week….. with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from GALATIANS 5 verses 22-26– as we consider this part of the Bible….

We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer as the day closes….

We REJOICE in the help and blessings He has given this particular Sunday – to us and to others

We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others in our church family and our nation and in our world at this time – especially prayerfully supporting the people of Syria, Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, Ukraine, Russia, Myanmar, Yemen, Goma and other parts of our world in deep need at this time

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow

Bible Verses for the Week and Sunday Morning Reflection

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
