Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Three in One

Reading : PSALM 12
Meditation : consider all that is said here as your day starts.
O LORD, you will keep us safe.

What is your response to God’s written Word today?
This is our God we believe and trust in.

Then turn to pray to Him in response

O LORD our God,
Thank you for all these words
And all they teach me about who you are.
Receive my sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving
And help me keep my eyes upward this day
My strength
My fortress
My loving God
In Jesus’ name, Amen

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on the Bible Society in Guatemala
O LORD, give blessings and hear our prayers we ask this day.

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from PSALM 12
Reflect on the words you have read and then pray in response – to this God, our God

LORD God, our God,
God who deserves our thanks
Our strength and fortress and loving God,
Hear the evening prayers of your people
For we are indeed in need of rescue from this world
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Evening Prayer with Others

As we journey through this week….. with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from LUKE chapter 23 verses 44-49 – as we consider TELLING OTHERS THE GOOD NEWS about Jesus through 2023.

We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer as the day closes

We REJOICE in the help and blessings He has given this particular Wednesday – to us and to others

We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others in our church family and our nation and in our world at this time – especially prayerfully supporting the people of Russia, Ukraine and other parts of our world in deep need at this time

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow

O LORD, hear our prayers and bless them all real good we ask.

Reading : read the verses again from LUKE 23 verses 44-49
Reflect on the words you read and then pray in response

Thank you God for sending Jesus
Thank you Jesus that you came
From heaven to earth
to a cruel cross
in my place

Reading : read these verses again from LUKE 20 verses 27-40
Reflect on the words…. And then pray to the LORD our God

I go to you for protection, LORD;
rescue me from my enemies.
You are my God;
teach me to do your will.
Be good to me, and guide me on a safe path.
Rescue me, LORD, as you have promised;
in your goodness save me from my troubles!

Hear our evening prayers, O God, as this day ends.
We believe and trust in You and lay ourselves before You.
