Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : PSALM 119 verse 96

Meditation : take time to consider this one verse this morning.
What encourages and challenges you?
What is God saying to you today from His Word?

And then Pray in response to what you have read and considered

O God, my God,
Hear my morning prayer
As I respond to your written Word
And have mercy
As I lay myself
And this day
Before you
In Jesus’ name.
Amen

Midday
Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your midday prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen

Evening

LORD God, our God, hear our prayers this evening

Take time to Pray in response

O God of faithfulness and changing leaders,
As I read these words
Help me believe
And trust in You
In good times and in hard times.
May Your Holy Spirit work in and through me.
As You were doing through Joshua
As You are doing across the world.
O show mercy in these days we call out!
In Jesus’ name.
Amen – we pray together.

Pray God’s blessing on the land and people of Rwanda
Father God, hear our prayers, have mercy and pour out blessings we ask

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from JOSHUA 24
Reflect on the way God has led you in your life
and pray in response to Him – with humility

As we return our sacrifice of praise

O LORD of perfect timing and best planning,
Receive our morning praise and hear our prayers.
