Evening Prayer with Others

As we journey through this week – with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from ROMANS chapter 15 verses 5-7– as we continue to consider the GOOD NEWS about Jesus through 2022

We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer as the day closes

We REJOICE in the help and blessings He has given this particular Wednesday – to us and to others

We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others in our church family and our nation and in our world at this time

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God

Reading : ROMANS 15 verses 5-7

Meditation : take time to consider what these verses teach us.
The Example of Christ Jesus
Accepting Others
What are you challenged and encouraged by this morning?

Then take the time to Pray to this God, our God who loves all
Look again at verse 5 as you turn to prayer
Naming others before Father God

In Jesus’ Name
Amen

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on our Pastoral Visiting Team
O LORD God, have mercy on this group and hear our prayers this day we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these words again from ROMANS 15 verses 5-7
Reflect on the verses…. And then pray to the LORD our God

Hear our evening prayers, O God, as this day ends.
We believe and trust in You and lay ourselves and others before You.
Forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who have sinned against us
Even today

Unclean Food. Acting in Love.
What words stays with you?
What is God teaching/reminding you about His Kingdom ways?

Then pray in response to this God of ours
Pray with confidence
Pray with honesty
Pray with humility

Pray God’s blessing on our Café staff and volunteers
O LORD, hear our prayers and bless them all real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read the words again from ROMANS 14 verses 14 and 15
Reflect on the words you read and then pray in response

LORD God, merciful God, our God, hear our evening prayers
As we thank you for all you have provided this day
As we thank you for our Church Family worldwide

Meditation : consider all that is said here as your day starts.
Debt. Love.
What is your response to God’s written Word today?
Is there a prayer of need on your lips?

Then turn to pray to God in response
Including for others anxious about debt.

O LORD our God,
Thank you for all these words
And all they teach me.
Receive my sacrifice of praise
And help those in need this day
In Jesus’ name, Amen

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on our neighbours
O LORD, give grace and mercy and hear our prayers we ask this day.

Evening
Reading : read these words again from ROMANS 13 verse 8
Reflect on the verse you have read and then pray in response – to this God, our God

LORD God, our God,
God who deserves our thanks
Hear the evening prayers of your people
For we are indeed in need of rescue from this world

Look again at the words as you name others in prayer

Reflect on the truths behind the words…. And then pray to the LORD our God
As you name others in prayer this evening

I go to you for protection, LORD;
rescue me from my enemies.
You are my God;
teach me to do your will.
Be good to me, and guide me on a safe path.
Rescue me, LORD, as you have promised;
in your goodness save me from my troubles!

Hear our evening prayers, O God, as this day ends.

And forgive us where we have failed today
