Evening Prayer with Others

As we journey through this week – with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from ROMANS chapter 12 verse 3– as we continue to consider the GOOD NEWS about Jesus through 2022

We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer as the day closes

We REJOICE in the help and blessings He has given this particular Wednesday – to us and to others

We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others in our nation and in our world at this time

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God

Reading : ROMANS 12 verse 3

Meditation : take time to consider what this verse teaches us
Sober judgment.
Grace. Faith.
What are you challenged and encouraged by this morning?

Then take the time to Pray to God, our God who helps.
Praying for people suffering injustice in our world
Praying for those you struggle with at this time

I go to you for protection, LORD;
rescue me from my enemies.
You are my God;
teach me to do your will.
Be good to me, and guide me on a safe path.
Rescue me, LORD, as you have promised;
in your goodness save me from my troubles!

In Jesus’ Name
Amen!

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on our Prayer Ministry Team
O LORD God, have mercy on this team and hear our prayers this day we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these words again from ROMANS 12 verse 3
Reflect on the truths written here…. And then pray to the LORD our God

I go to you for protection, LORD;
rescue me from my enemies.
You are my God;
teach me to do your will.
Be good to me, and guide me on a safe path.
Rescue me, LORD, as you have promised;
in your goodness save me from my troubles!

Hear our evening prayers, O God, as this day ends.
We believe and trust in You and lay ourselves before You.
Forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who have sinned against us – even today

Pray with thankfulness
Pray with humility
Pray for others

O LORD, hear our prayers and bless them all real good we ask.

Reading : read the verses again from ROMANS 11 verses 17-24
Reflect on the words you read and then pray in response

LORD God, merciful God, our God, hear our evening prayers
As we thank you for all you have provided this day
As we thank you for your Church worldwide – of all nations!

Look again at verse 10 as you turn to prayer

Then pray to God in response
For yourself
For others on your prayer list

O LORD our God,
Thank you for all these words
And all they teach me about your saving ways
Hear my prayer for others
Who do not know you yet
In Jesus’ name, Amen

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those who lead us in Sunday worship
O LORD, give blessing and hear our prayers we ask this day.

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from ROMANS 10 verses 5-13
Reflect on the words you have read and then pray in response – to this God, our God

LORD God, our God,
God who deserves our thanks
Hear the evening prayers of your people
For we are all indeed in need of rescue from this world
