Reading: 2 SAMUEL 18:19-30
Morning:
Reading: 2 SAMUEL 18:19-30.
Meditation: as we pause with God today, we consider this passage this morning.
And then respond in prayer to this Jesus.
Our Lord and Father, the giver of all wisdom.
We turn to you this morning,
asking for wisdom.
In time when we have to bear bad news,
we ask for the correct words and action in that communication.
Show us how to act and talk
with compassion and love.
In humility we pray, amen.
Midday:
We pray God’s blessing on someone we spoke with recently.
Let those we have met know the touch of your peace and love, amen.
Evening:
Read the set verses again from 2 SAMUEL 18:19-30.
Reflect on all that is said here and then turn to pray to this God we believe in.
Lord Jesus, our rock and salvation.
We reflect this evening, on ourselves and others.
Waiting for news requires patience,
please would you provide that.
Uncertainty whether outcomes will be good or bad can induce anxiety,
please still any worry inside us.
Sit with us in our discomfort,
hold our hand through our fears.
For you are the rock which supports us,
We worship your holy name,
To your throne we worship, amen.
