Upper Room day

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : 1 SAMUEL chapter 3

Meditation : consider all that happens here… at the start of your day.
What words stay with you? What is God saying to you from His Word today?

And then Pray in response to what you have read
Taking time to wait before God…listening….

In Jesus’ name.
Amen.

Midday
Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
…..and respond to His voice….
Father God…thank you.

Evening
Reading : read the verses again from 1 Samuel 3
Reflect prayerfully on these words and events…. And then pray as your day closes
LORD God, our great God,
Open my ears
Open my eyes
Speak to me by name
As I wait before you – even now.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the LORD God, the Eternal One

Reading : 1 SAMUEL chapter 1

Meditation : take time to consider these words..and what happens here.
How would you describe Hannah’s relationship with God?
What is God saying to you today?
What is your response to Him?

Then take time to Pray in response to Father God – for your family at this time

LORD God,
God of mercy,
Our heavenly Father,
Give grace and healing we call out
And hear our morning prayers
That Your Kingdom life might be evidenced
Even today in those we name before You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on the trypraying venture across Scotland this month
O LORD, hear our prayers at this time of day and give grace we ask.

Evening
Reading : read the verses again from 1 Samuel
Reflect on their meaning for you and your family and pray in response…to Father God
O Living and True God, hear our evening prayers
And forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sinned against us even today.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
