Upper Room day and Evening Gathering for Prayer

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus, Saviour and Lord

Reading : GENESIS chapter 45

Meditation : take time and consider what happens here!
Imagine the scene!
What is your response to God’s Word today?
Is there someone you need to speak with in your family at this time?

Pray in response to God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit

O LORD
Our God
Hear our morning prayers
We ask
In Jesus’ name
Amen.

Midday
Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
Ask, seek, knock….hear!
Father God…thank you.

Evening
Reading : read Genesis 45 again
Reflect on the words from yesteryear and then Pray….to the LORD our God
God of greatness and majesty and amazing grace
We bring our evening worship to you
As we name our family members before you
In Jesus’ name.
Amen and Amen.

UPPER ROOM Tuesday GATHERING FOR PRAYER

Is this part of your weekly and monthly routine?
If you are unable to attend due to work or family commitments – why not find a place with space and join with others in pausing to listen and pray with God.

The room above the Café becomes an Upper Room each Tuesday – a place for time out with God.
The monthly church Gathering for Prayer will be held here this month 7-8pm.

Windows with a view
all to be used – or not – as you prefer

There are opportunities to pause and pray and listen with others
7.30-8am
12 noon-12.30pm
2.45-3.45pm
7-8pm

And the Café is open from 9am!

You are encouraged to make these opportunities to pause and pray with God an active part of your walk with Jesus and our church life and work so that together we hear what God is saying to His Church at Liberton Kirk.

Meditation : take time to consider this chapter as your day starts.
How would you describe Judah’s relationship with his family?
What is God’s Word saying to you today?

Then Pray in response to our Father God

Of understanding and need)

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on the land and people of India at this time
God of grace and mercy and rich blessing, hear our prayers.

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from Genesis 44
Reflect on what you read and then pray to Father God in response
Good and faithful One, hear my evening prayers
And receive my evening praise
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Reading : PSALM 27

Meditation : take time and consider these words this Sunday morning.
What do they say to you today?
What is your response to God’s Word?

and then pray in response – using verses 7-12

O LORD
My light and my salvation
I trust in you!
I sing my praises to you!
I call to you!
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on someone you prayed for this past week
O LORD, God of mercy, hear our cry and bless this person we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these particular verses again from Psalm 27
Reflect on the words and images and then Pray in response to this God of ours
O LORD, hear our evening prayers we ask
As we cry out to you in praise and trust
As we thank you for the blessings of this day
As we pilgrimage on towards tomorrow
