Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Three in One

Reading : GENESIS 41 verses 1-36

Meditation : prayerfully consider these words this morning.
What words stays with you?
What is God saying to you today?
Is there a dream He has given you recently?

Then pray in response to Him

O LORD our God,
Sovereign and eternal God,
Giver of dreams
The One who speaks to us by name
Thank you for what we read
For your written Word
For what you want to say to us
Even today.
Open our ears
Open our minds.
Amen and amen!

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on parents in your Church Family
O LORD, hear our prayers and bless each of them real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read the verses again from Genesis 41
Reflect on the words you read and then pray in response
LORD God, Father God, our God, hear our evening prayers
In Jesus’ name, Amen

Take time to Pray in response to the Lord – with honesty and humility

In Jesus’ Name

Midday
Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
‘Thy Kingdom come’ Father God
LORD our God…thank you.

Evening
Reading : read the passage again about Joseph and Potiphar’s wife
Reflect on the words and the events here…. And then pray to Father God in response
Father God, our gracious God, hear our evening prayers,
Forgive us
Help us
In Jesus’ name we ask, Amen.

Is this part of your weekly routine as you step further into 2019?
If you are unable to attend due to work or family commitments – why not find a place with space and join with others in pausing to listen and pray with God.

The room above the Café becomes an Upper Room each Tuesday

There are opportunities to pause and pray and listen with others
7.30-8am
12 noon-12.30pm
2.45-3.45pm
7-7.15pm

And the Café is open from 9am!

You are encouraged to make this opportunity to pause and pray with God an active part of your walk with Jesus and our church life and work so that together we hear what God is saying to His Church at Liberton Kirk.

God of grace and mercy…and hope, hear our prayers.

Evening
Reading : read these words again about Joseph and his brothers
Reflect on the people and events here and then Pray in response
LORD God, our God, hear our evening prayers, as we return our thanks to You.
As we thank you for our family members
As we pray for them by name
