Encountering God at six30

v2a
The start of the year the whole church is looking at being Upward looking and how we encounter God, we’re doing the same thing at six30 evening services on Sundays. We have a great mix of speakers lined up and starting us off in February is Nikki who is leading an evening in the church inspired by the book Be Live Pray by Becca Dean, where we actively look at what prayer is, how we do it and what we can pray about. Check out speakers for the next few months by keeping up to date on our six30 page but also come along on Sunday night if you would like to look more into how to pray day by day.

Liberton Artisans

Recently we have been assisting three members of the Kirk at home with small jobs. We have also been in contact with Liberton Primary School (Nursery Dept) to arrange painting some small sheds that the children play in. We will hope to be doing this during the Easter  break. We have been running now for ten months and have been able to help many people in the area. Please visit our page here on the Liberton Kirk web site  to read more about us.

Did you know – Sermon Archive

We have a great team of people who contribute to the Liberton Kirk website and there is always someone updating some of the pages relating to the many groups and activities that happen with in the church and the Kirk Halls.

But did you know that every Monday Derek updates the sermon archive with the latest preaching mp3 from our 11am and six30 Sunday services. You can download them to listen to later or listen directly on line.

Currently we have an archive on the site going back to 2012, with our Life Shapes series that John Young spoke on in 2009. There are many preachers, including John Young, Malcolm Jefferson, David McNeish and more as well as our special guest preachers from 2015’s Bicentenary year that include John Cameron, the previous minister at Liberton Kirk. So if you miss a Sunday, want to add to your housegroup or daily devotion time or even check out one of the services you don’t normally attend there is plenty to choose from.

If you are looking for something specific from previous years give the church office or John Young a call and they’ll be able to help you find it.
