Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : 1 Peter 2 verses 9 and 10

Meditation : consider these 2 verses again.
What is God saying to you about who you are in Christ Jesus?
What words stay with you as you go into your day?             

and Pray in response – to this God who has chosen us in Christ Jesus

Amen we pray together this new day.

Midday

Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your own midday prayer
(see the Matthew chapter 6 or under the Prayer tab on LK website)

Father God, hear our prayers we ask.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done.

Evening

Reading : read the 2 verses again

Reflect on these great words and then Pray

LORD God, our God, receive our evening praise and hear our prayers at the end of this day.   Amen.

Meditation : take time to consider these verses again.
What words are you drawn to? What is God saying to you today?
Is there someone you need to tell about Jesus – today?

Pray in response – as God leads you 

O God of truth,

Help me believe
And trust in You
And let Your Holy Spirit work in and through me.
As You are doing across the world.
Amen – we pray together.

Pray God’s blessing on all turning to Him in prayer in our land today

Father God, thank you for the work of Try Praying.
Hear our prayers and bless all who call on you today.

Note all that is said about Jesus being God’s chosen and precious cornerstone.    What does this mean for you?

Pray in response to the words you have read – giving thanks for Jesus!

LORD God,
Thank you for such a secure cornerstone
In my faith.
Help me to help others find Jesus
For themselves
