‘The Way of the Cross’  –   Hope for All the World

Morning

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God

Reading : Isaiah 49 verses 1-13

Meditation :  take time and consider these words of great hope
this morning!     What do they say to you?
What is your response?

and then pray in response to this God, our God, for this message to be heard in our world

O LORD God,
As I read these words
Make them true in our times.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Midday

Pray for the Church in our land to know Sunday blessings
O LORD, our God, hear our cry!

Evening

Reading : read the verses again from Isaiah 49

Reflect on their meaning for you and then Pray in response, as your day ends

O LORD, hear our evening prayers we ask.

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : Matthew 5 verse 10

Meditation : slowly consider this one verse again.
What is God saying to you today?
What is your response to Him?         

and Pray in response

O God of this verse,
Hear my morning prayer
And by Your Spirit’s help
Make me a person who stays true to You
And Your Kingdom
Even today.
Amen we pray together this new day.

Pray God’s blessing on Church leaders in difficult places in our world
LORD, hear our prayers we ask and protect them all we ask.

Evening

Reflect on Jesus’ words and then Pray in response – For others

LORD God, our God, hear our prayers at the end of this day.

Reading : Matthew 5 verse 8

Meditation :   take time and prayerfully consider this one verse
What is it saying to you today – about God? about yourself?

then take time to pray in response

(Pray your own words to the LORD God
In worship and thanks for what you have read,
In confession and need to be more like Jesus,
For yourself and for others.)

O LORD, receive our praise and hear our prayers.

Meditation : consider this one verse again
What does it mean to you to be merciful?

then pray in response….to be a person of mercy – even today

O LORD our God,
God of wondrous and tender mercy,
Thank you for these words
And all they teach me.
May my trust in You
Move me to reach out to someone else today.
Amen and amen!

O LORD, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask.
