DOES GOD HEAL TODAY?

Morning

Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : Mark 1 verses 29-34
Meditation : consider what is said here by Mark. What is God saying to you today?

Pray in response to live to please God – even today!
Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
I have read these words.
Here I am.
Use even me I ask
That Jesus’ Name is lifted higher than any other.
Amen.

Midday

Take time to listen for God to speak with you – ask, seek, knock – hear!
Father God, thank you. 

Evening

Reading : read the verses again from Mark 1

Reflect on the words…. and pray in response
LORD God, our great God,
Bless those I name before You real good
Who need your healing touch.
For all of today
I thank You.
Help me to rest in Your unfailing love and on Your faithful Word.
In Jesus’ powerful name, Amen.

O LORD, hear our prayers!

Pray in response – to ‘the LORD, who heals you’

Help me to….trust You more for all You want to do!

Meditation :  take time to consider what is taught here about God’s great plan and purposes

Teach us to pray aright

That Your kingdom come, your will is done

In my church
In this world.

HOW DOES GOD GUIDE ME?

Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : Acts 10 verses 9-48
Meditation : take time and consider how Peter was guided!

And then Pray in response…to be open to the Spirit’s leading – however unexpected!
Spirit of God
Fall anew on me.
Break and melt and mould and fill me
All over again
From the inside out.
Guide my daily steps
At work, rest and play
Even this day I pray –
Even to the unexpected!
Amen…in Jesus’ Name.

Pray God’s blessing on Mortonhall Crematorium, especially those who work there….and those who use it this week.
God of grace and mercy…and hope, hear our prayers.
