For Jesus we thank you
For Jesus’ death in our place we thank you
For all that happened that first Easter we thank you
Over and over again
In Jesus’ lovely name,

Pray for a neighbour or colleague in need of God’s presence.
Amen and amen we cry.

Evening

Reflect on what kind of hymn they would have sung

Father God, thank you for this Sunday.
Thank you for Jesus.
Thank you, Jesus that you humbly came to earth.
Hosanna I sing out – louder and louder.

Meditation :  consider that Jesus knew He would be killed.
Pray for those in the Church worldwide facing daily persecution.
Father God, we thank you for Your Church – everywhere.
We ask you this day to strengthen, comfort and help your people across our world,
Especially those who suffer for their faith in Jesus.
Help us to be faithful in standing with them in prayer.
In Jesus’ name we ask, Amen.
