Daily Devotions for Friday 5th May, 2023

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : MATTHEW chapter 5 verses 1-16
Meditation : consider these great words from Jesus this morning.
Blessed.
Happy.

What is God teaching/reminding you today?
Which words stay with you?

And then Pray in response – as God leads you
Pray with confidence to our God to bless others
In His Church
In our nation
In our world

Amen – we pray together.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on the Church in our nation at this time
Father God, hear our prayers, have mercy and give help we ask.

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from MATTHEW 5 verses 1-16
Reflect on the words you have just read and pray in response

Lord Jesus, hear our evening prayers as we respond to these words
And bring comfort and hope to those in need this evening we ask.
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Amen.

Daily Devotions for Saturday 4th March, 2023

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : PSALM 1
Meditation : take time to consider these verses in this season of Lent.
Blessed.
The Law of the LORD.
Fruit.

And then Pray in response to what you read – to this God of ours.
Pray for God’s help today for yourself and for another
Pray to be fruitful – in body, mind and spirit

In Jesus’ name
Amen and Amen!

Midday
Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your midday prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen

Evening
Reading : read PSALM 1 again as we step into Sunday
Reflect on this God, your God, our God…. and then Call on Him in your evening Prayer

LORD God, our God, receive our praise
For who You are
For your help and protection even today
And as we give it all back to you
May you continue to reach and save people
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done across our world
In our community, in our city.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
