Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Three in One

Reading : MATTHEW 11 verses 25-30
Meditation : prayerfully consider these words this morning
Weary. Burdened.
Come to Me and Rest.

What words stays with you?
What is your response to Jesus today?
What burden will you lay down?

Then pray in response to this God of ours
Pray with confidence
Pray with honesty
Pray with humility
Pray to receive….

In Jesus’ name
Amen and amen!

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on Chris and Margaret Brandie and their family
O LORD, hear our prayers and bless them all real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read the verses again from MATTHEW 11 verses 25-30
Reflect on the words you read and then pray in response

LORD God, merciful God, our God, hear our evening prayers
As we thank you for all you have provided this day
As we thank you for your Church worldwide
As we lay our burdens down
May we receive Your rest this evening
In Jesus’ name, Amen

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God

Reading : ROMANS 15 verse 1

Meditation : take time and consider this verse this Sunday morning.
Strong. Weak. Burdens.
Not pleasing ourselves.
What do the words mean for you today?
What is God teaching/reminding you about His Kingdom ways?

And then pray in response – using the words as you turn to prayer
Come to Him with open arms
Naming others known to you carrying a burden at this time

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Midday

Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your own midday prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen

Evening
Reading : read these particular words again from ROMANS 15 verse 1
Reflect on the words and images and then Pray in response to this God

I say to the LORD, “You are my God.”
Hear my cry for help, LORD!
My Sovereign LORD, my strong defender,
you have protected me in battle.

O LORD, hear our evening prayers we ask
As we thank you for the blessings of this Sunday
As we believe and trust in you
As we name others carrying a burden
As we pilgrimage on into this new week
