Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God
Reading : LUKE 1 verses 1-4
Meditation : take time and consider what is said here – as your day starts. Dear Theophilus.
What is your attitude as you start looking into Luke’s account?
Why not keep a journal as you start these journeys with Luke…..
Pray your own words to the LORD God
Hear our many prayers
As we start this journey with Luke
And Your Good News story of Jesus.
We ask in Jesus’ name
Pray God’s blessing on the Church Family at Liberton Northfield O LORD, hear our prayers and pour out grace and blessings we ask
Reading : read the set verses again from LUKE 1 verses 1-4
Reflect on these words again at the end of your day
and Pray in response to this God of ours with confidence
O LORD God, hear our evening prayers
As we thank You for Your help in our lives.
O have mercy we ask
On our Church
On our world
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
As we step into a new week….. with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from MARK chapter 16 – as we consider TELLING OTHERS THE GOOD NEWS about Jesus through 2023.
We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer as the day closes
We REJOICE in the help and blessings He has given this particular Sunday – to us and to others
We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others in our church family and our nation and in our world at this time – especially prayerfully supporting the people of Sudan, Yemen, Ukraine and other parts of our world in deep need at this time
We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow
Jesus..said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned
Mark 16 verses 15 and 16

Reading : MARK chapter 16
On this Sunday morning, take time to consider all that happens here!
Jesus and His Disciples.
What does it mean for you today?
What is God teaching/reminding you about Himself?
And then pray in response – to this Risen Lord
In Jesus’ Name, Amen and Amen!
Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your midday prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Reading : read these particular verses again from MARK chapter 16
Reflect on the words and images and then Pray in response to this God
I say to the LORD, “You are my God.”
Hear my cry for help, LORD!
My Sovereign LORD, my strong defender,
you have protected me in battle.
O Risen Lord, hear our evening prayers we ask
As we thank you for the blessings of this Sunday
As we believe and trust in you
As we name others seeking you
As we pilgrimage on into a new month
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
