Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : ZECHARIAH 9 verses 9-17

Meditation : take time to consider these verses this morning.
The Coming of The King!
What encourages and challenges you today?
What is God saying to you from His Word?

And then Pray in response
With thanksgiving!
With hope!

LORD
I look up to you,
Up to heaven, where you rule.

Come, Lord Jesus!

Hear my morning prayer
Hear the morning prayers of your people

In Jesus’ name.
Amen

Midday
Pray the Prayer for the Month as your own midday prayer

Dear Lord, help us to remember at this time of
Presents and Puddings,
Cards and Chocolates,
Paper hats and Limericks
With all the Glitz of Christmas celebration
That the King of Glory came Humbly into our world.
In Jesus’ name
Amen

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from ZECHARIAH 9
Reflect on these words as you look back over the day and then Pray in response

And then Pray in response

Reading : MICAH 5 verses 1-4

Meditation : take time to consider these verses of promise this morning
A Ruler from Bethlehem.
What does this promise mean to you?

Then take time to Pray for our national leaders at this time
Naming them before Sovereign God

In Jesus’ name.
Amen and Amen – we pray together.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those who are hurting in our community
Father God, hear our prayers, have mercy and give help we ask

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from MICAH 5 verses 1-4
Reflect on the way God has led our nation
and pray in response to Him
and for our national and world leaders at this time

LORD God, the God of help and protection,
Our God,
Hear our evening prayers
As we return our sacrifice of praise for who you are
And your help even this day
As we bring ourselves and our world to you at the end of this day.
