As a Church we were part of the global prayer venture earlier this year – Thy Kingdom Come.
This prayer continues around the world!
Each Sunday at Midday we have been re-visiting one of the 11 daily themes….and this time we revisit one of the videos that was released for younger viewers….. Series 2 with the Cheeky Pandas – The Broken Song Machine – a story about OFFERING ourselves to serve God.
On this Harvest Sunday at Liberton we share in this prayer from the Church of Scotland

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God
Reading : ROMANS 12 verse 11
Meditation : take time and consider this verse this particular Sunday morning.
Spiritual Fervour.
How would you describe your spiritual temperature at the moment?
Where is your zeal being expressed?
And then pray in response – using the words of the verse as you turn to prayer
O God of grace
The God who restores and renews
Help me
Equip me
Use me
Even today
As we give thanks for
All your Harvest blessings to us and others
As we name places in our world
Where a harvest is not healthy
In Jesus’ name

Pray the Prayer for the Month as your own midday prayer
How good it is to give thanks to you, O LORD.
We sing and dance with joy!
How great are your ways, O LORD.
We sing and dance with joy!
You forgive my sin and cleanse me within

Praise the LORD all His people

As we thank you for the blessings of this Harvest Sunday
As we believe and trust in you
As we pilgrimage on towards tomorrow

As we step into Harvest Sunday – with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from ROMANS chapter 12 verse 10– as we continue to consider the GOOD NEWS about Jesus through 2022
We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer as the day closes
We REJOICE in the help and blessings He has given this particular Saturday – to us and to others
We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others in our nation and in our world at this time
We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow
