Daily Devotions for Monday 20th December, 2021

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus, Saviour and Lord

Reading : LUKE 1 verses 39-56

Meditation : as we pause with God, we take time to consider this part of the Bible afresh this morning.
What is God teaching/reminding you today from His written Word?

Pray in response to what you have read

Thank you Father God for your help and forgiveness and love!
Hear our morning prayers we ask
In and through Christ Jesus we pray together, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on families living in SE Edinburgh at this time
O LORD, hear our prayers and bless each and all real good we ask – even today.

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from LUKE 1
Reflect on the words here and then Pray in response

Thank you Father God for your help and forgiveness and love!
Hear our evening prayers for others we ask
In and through Christ Jesus we pray together, Amen.

Pause to Pray for Others

On this fourth Sunday in Advent…as the nation and the world wrestles with new cases and vaccine supplies…and other points of crisis and concern… you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world – and for parts of the world in turmoil at this time

For family and friends and neighbours

For the Church in our nation to be salt and light

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and world leaders at this time

Thy Kingdom Come at Midday

As a Church we were part of the global prayer venture – Thy Kingdom Come.

This prayer continues around the world!

Each Sunday at Midday we will re-visit one of the 11 daily themes….and this time we revisit the youth videos.
This week it is ADORE – as we are encouraged to pause and bring our sacrifice of adoration to the Living Lord
