As we return our thanks to you

Help our unbelief

Daily Devotions for Sunday 10th December, 2023

Second Sunday in Advent

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God

Reading : ISAIAH chapter 42 verses 18-25
Meditation : take time to consider these words on this Sunday.
Failure to learn
Will you listen?
Who gave to you?

What is your response to these words today?
Is there something God is reminding you of?

And then pray in response to Him,
Naming others known to you

In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Midday
Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your midday prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen

Evening
Reading : read these words again from ISAIAH chapter 42 verses 18-25
Reflect on these words and then Pray in response at the end of your day

O LORD, our God
We bring our evening sacrifice of praise to you
For who you are
As we acknowledge You our Help even this day.
Forgive us our sins
As we forgive others – even today
As we name others in need
As we pray for the Church in all corners of our world
To live and speak of Jesus.
In His saving name, Amen.
