Evening Prayer with Others

As we step into the weekend….. with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from MATTHEW chapter 5 verse 5– as we start to consider TELLING OTHERS THE GOOD NEWS about Jesus through 2023.

We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer as the day closes

We REJOICE in the help and blessings He has given this particular Friday – to us and to others

We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others in our church family and our nation and in our world at this time

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : MATTHEW chapter 5 verse 5

Meditation : take time and consider all that is said here.
The meek.
What does this verse mean for you?
(perhaps look at it in another version)
Is there someone you can encourage with this truth today?

And then pray in response – as your day starts
Naming others in a place of need known to you

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those on our Church Family prayer list
Father God, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask

Evening
Reading : read the words again from MATTHEW chapter 5 verse 5
– in another version?
Reflect on the words and images here and pray in response to our God

O LORD, hear our evening prayers
As we return our thanks to you
For all you have done for us
We believe
Help our unbelief
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Meditation : take time and consider this part of the chapter this morning.
Those who mourn.
What is God teaching/reminding you?
Is there someone you can encourage today with God’s comfort?

And then pray in response – as your day starts

Pray your own words of faith and trust to the LORD our God.
Naming others before Father God.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pray God’s blessing on those on our Church Family prayer list
Father God…hear our prayers and bless each and all we ask.

Evening
Reading : read the words again from MATTHEW chapter 5 verse 4
Reflect on the verse at the end of your day
and Pray in response to God – with your words of faith and trust

O LORD, hear our evening prayers
As we return our thanks to you
For all your good gifts to us
For our trust and hope is in you
Be near those who walk through the valley of the shadow of death at this time
Comfort and strengthen them we ask
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
