Thy Kingdom Come 2021

As part of God’s Church we have participated in the global prayer venture of Thy Kingdom Come each year. This runs during the 11 days between Ascension and Pentecost…..and this year it will happen May 13th-23rd.

You are invited to be a part of this.
You are encouraged to plan ahead in preparation.
Look out for more information from the Prayer Team.

Each Saturday at 12 noon we are continuing to ask and seek and knock on Heaven’s door…..’Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done’…..and to pray for up to 5 people we know to meet with Jesus and to experience God’s Kingdom reign in their lives. Who is on your list?

This week as we pause to pray with others we are asking God to prepare us…as individuals, as a Church, as a nation, in our world… to experience afresh God’s Kingdom rule…to evidence the Kingdom of God at work.

Spirit of the Living God
Fall afresh on me, on us
Break me
Melt me
Mould me
Fill me
Use me
Spirit of the Living God
Fall afresh on us

And through this month
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen

Daily Devotions for MAY 2021

Our Father in heaven…..May your kingdom come;
May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Matthew 6 verses 9 and 10

During 2021 we are looking daily at the theme of PRAYER – and pausing at our times of Midday Devotion to pray for others in our church family, our city and our world at this time.

*In May as we journey on towards PENTECOST we consider therefore the theme of THY KINGDOM COME, THY WILL BE DONE *

From 13th-23rd we will be sharing in the global prayer venture of Thy Kingdom Come and the 11 daily themes they provide. These themes will take the focus of our Daily Devotional each day, the Daily Reflections and then at Midday we will be sharing the daily video from thy Kingdom Come on our Facebook page. We have the opportunity to pray for up to 5 people we know to meet Jesus and to seek the Kingdom of God evidenced afresh in our day.

We are all encouraged to listen for God’s voice and make our response as we journey together in our ‘rhythm of devotion’ during this year of 2021. You are invited to sign up to receive the daily email during 13th-23rd from TKC which will include the daily theme and the relevant video clip. There is also a Youth TKC focus! You can find out more at www.thykingdomcome.global

These Devotions are but one way to feed on God’s Word in the morning, at midday, in the evening… to pray with Him continually through the day and even to share with others the treasures or hurdles you discover.
The Church website and Facebook page (even on a handy mobile) provide a fuller daily devotional page. However it all follows the pattern below which the information provided fits into, based on the Kirk’s origins of the Celtic and Northumbrian traditions which we started as a church family in 2015.
