Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : JOHN 3 verses 18-21

Meditation : take time and consider all that is said here.
What images or words stay with you?
What is God saying to you today from His Word?
What is your response to Him?

Pray to this God of ours in response
Including for others on a journey meeting with God

O Living LORD,
I read these words.
Help me let the Holy Spirit work out these truths
Even today.
May you guide and bless others
At this time in their lives
Bring them from light to darkness we ask!
Amen – we pray together.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those preparing to preach this weekend
Father God, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from JOHN 3
Reflect on the words and events here and pray in response to this Jesus

Living LORD, hear our evening prayers and receive our praise
As we believe and trust in you
For the large and the small things in our lives
For the areas of darkness in our world

God of Love…hear our prayers and pour a blessing we ask on each and all

Evening
Reading : read these particular words again slowly from JOHN 3.16
Reflect on the words – at the end of your day
and Pray in response to this God – our God who sent Jesus

O LORD, receive our thanks
As we call on you to send your saving gace
To those we name before you.

How would you describe your relationship with the Living God?

Then take the time to Pray to this God, our God of new birth.
Look again at the verse as you turn to prayer

O LORD God, have mercy on each and all and bless this work we ask.

Reflect on the words…. And then pray to the LORD our God

Hear our evening prayers, O God, as this day ends.
We believe and trust in You and lay ourselves before You.
As we name others new to Christian living
