As this day ends

We bow before you,

We thank you for the gospel,

We thank you that it was shared with us.

We strive to be counted among the righteous who live by faith

In Jesus’ name, amen

Daily Devotion for Tuesday 1st July 2025

Morning

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God.

Reading: ROMANS 1 verses 1-7.

Meditation: as we pause with this new day, we consider these truths …

Calling from God;

Resurrection;

What is God teaching/reminding you today?

And then we respond in prayer with this God.

Lord Jesus, we thank You for this new day.

We thank You that you chose us and call us to You.

In Your name, amen.

Midday

Take time to listen for God to speak with you – ask, seek, knock – hear! Walk through the door, to the Lord.

LORD our God…thank you.

Evening

Reading: read the passage again from ROMANS 1 verses 1-7.

Reflect on these words…. And then pray in response to our God

O God of grace and power,

Hear our evening prayers,

For our city and our nation.

We turn to you in thanks for this day,

For rest for this night,

And for guidance for tomorrow.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

Daily Devotions for July 2025

But that is not all; we rejoice because of what God has done through our Lord Jesus Christ, who has now made us God’s friends.

Romans 5 verse 11

During 2025 we are looking daily at the theme of ITS ALL ABOUT JESUS.

So far, we have considered some of the things He did and said, and how the Early Church followed His teachings.  We pause at our times of Midday Devotion to pray for others in our church family, our city and our world.

In July and August, we journey with Paul through Romans as we consider the truths behind the words IN CHRIST JESUS.

We are all invited to listen for God’s voice and make our response as we journey together daily in our ‘rhythm of devotion’ in 2025.

These Devotions are but one way to feed on God’s Word in the morning, at midday, in the evening… to pray with Him continually through the day and even to share with others the treasures or hurdles you discover.

The Church website and Facebook page (even on a handy mobile) provide a fuller daily devotional page. However, it all follows the pattern below which the information provided fits into, based on the Kirk’s origins of the Celtic and Northumbrian traditions which we started as a church family back in 2015.

Morning:

Reading and Meditation on the content and a prayer of response

Midday:

Prayer – mostly for others

Evening:

Verse(s) from the morning reading

Reflection and Prayer at the end of the day

Prayer for the Month of JULY

Father, you have freed us.

Jesus, you have died for us.

Holy Spirit, you live in us.

Father, we offer ourselves to you.

Jesus, through You we die to sin.

Holy Spirit, thank you for life and peace.

Amen

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever

Amen
