Daily Devotions for Sunday 16th June, 2024

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God

Reading : PSALM 53
Meditation : take time and consider this part of the Bible this Sunday morning.
God looks down from heaven…

What do these words mean for you today?
How would you describe your walk with God at the moment?

And then pray in response – using the words of verses 2 and 3 as you turn to prayer

O God of grace-giving-Life
We bow before you
We believe in you
We trust in you
We call out to you for those we know
In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

Midday
Pray the Prayer for the Month as your own midday prayer

O LORD our God

Teach us how
To trust You with all our heart
and lean not on our own understanding;

Help us
In all our ways to submit to You,
and know You will make our paths straight.

For we believe and trust in You
Father, Son and Holy Spirit

Amen and Amen

Evening
Reading : read these particular verses again from PSALM 53
Reflect on the words and images and then Pray in response to this God
Looking again at verse 1

O LORD, hear our evening prayers we ask
As we thank you for the blessings of this Sunday
Forgive us our sins
Even today
As we forgive those who have sinned against us
Even today
As we believe and trust in you
As we pilgrimage on towards tomorrow
With hope and confidence in You above all others
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
