Thy Kingdom Come #praise

As part of God’s Church we have participated in the global prayer venture of Thy Kingdom Come each year. This runs during the 11 days between Ascension and Pentecost…..and this year it will happen May 13th-23rd.

Each Saturday at 12 noon we are continuing to ask and seek and knock on Heaven’s door…..’Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done’…..and to pray for up to 5 people we know to meet with Jesus and to experience God’s Kingdom reign in their lives.

This week we focus on the theme of PRAISE as we pause to pray with others in our nation and across the world.

We are encouraged to pause and take time with the LORD our God on this particular Saturday in February 2021.
To Praise Him for who He is – the LORD Almighty – our Father God – Saviour – Helper – the same, yesterday, today and forever – pandemic or not!

To raise the name of Jesus higher in our land in these days.

Praise my soul the King of Heaven!

Praise the Name of Jesus!

Praise Him! Praise Him!

Daily Devotions for Saturday 6th February, 2021

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus.

Reading : PSALM 18 verses 1-6

Meditation : take time to consider this part of the Psalm this Saturday morning.
What is God saying to you today from Himself?
What is your prayer to Him this new day?

Pray your own words to this God of David’s..our God!

O LORD
Our God
Mighty and Holy One,
Receive our praise
Hear our prayers
And keep us on the right path we ask
As you walk with us this day
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Midday
Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your midday prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen

Evening
Reading : read this part of Psalm 18 again
Reflect prayerfully on the words and images ….. and then Pray in response
Especially for others in need of receiving protection at this time

Spirit of the Living God, hear our evening prayers at the end of this day
And be with those we name before you.
In Jesus’ powerful name, Amen.

Daily Devotions for Friday 5th February, 2021

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the LORD God

Reading : EXODUS 33 verses 7-11

Meditation : take time to carefully consider this short passage.
The Tent of the LORD’s Presence.
How does it encourage or challenge you this morning?
What is your response to God’s Word as you step into today?

Take time out with God in Prayer in response – as God leads you
Including praying for others distant from God at this time

Pray God’s blessing on the land and people of China
O LORD God, have mercy on each person and all families there we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these words again from EXODUS 33 verses 7-11
Reflect ….and then pray….for others as well as yourself

O Lord, hear our prayers at this evening hour
As we lay ourselves and others before You in Jesus’ name,
Be with us as we step into tomorrow we ask. Amen.

Reading : GENESIS 46 verses 1-4

Meditation : take time to consider these words.
God speaks with Jacob.
What has God been saying to you recently?
How would you describe your relationship with God at this time?

Then pray in response to the LORD as your day starts
Thanking Him for what He is saying to you today

Pray your own words this morning to the LORD our God……..

Lord, hear our prayers and bless each and all real good we ask.

Reading : read these particular set verses again from GENESIS 46
Reflect on the words written here – and what God is saying to you now.
Pray in response to this God who was with Jacob in his life

O LORD, hear our evening prayers as this day closes
As we return our thanks to You.
And bless all those we name before you.

Jacob’s Dream.
What words and images stay with you?
What is God saying to you today as your day starts?
Has there been a dream God has given you recently?

And then pray in response – to this God of ours
Looking again at verses 16 and 17 as you turn to prayer

O LORD our God,
We wait before you
We listen for you
We receive from you
This new day
In Jesus’ name,

Pray God’s blessing on the land and people of Bangladesh
LORD, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these set verses again from GENESIS 28 verses 10-22
Humbly reflect on what you read and then pray in response – for yourself and
for others you have had contact with during this day

LORD God, Father God, hear our many different prayers this evening.
