Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : LUKE 9 verses 18-27
Meditation : take time to consider these words as your day starts.
Who do you say I am?
What is your answer to Jesus?

Then Pause to Pray in response to the LORD our God
Pray with honest humility

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on Cammy, Dilma and Pedro
God of grace and mercy and rich blessing, hear our prayers we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from LUKE 9 verses 18-27 – in another version?
Reflect prayerfully on what you read and then pray to our God in response
Pray with humility
Pray for others discovering who this Jesus is

O LORD, hear our prayers and bless them all good we ask – even today.

Thank you Father God for your grace and help and healing this day

Evening Prayer with Others

As we step into a new week….. with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from LUKE chapter 2 verses 1-7 – as we consider TELLING OTHERS THE GOOD NEWS about Jesus through 2023.

We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer as the day closes

We REJOICE in the help and blessings He has given this particular Monday – to us and to others

We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others in our church family and our nation and in our world at this time – especially prayerfully supporting the people of Sudan, Yemen, Ukraine and other parts of our world in deep need at this time

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow

Jesus is born in Bethlehem.
What words or images stay with you?
Whose birth did you last celebrate?

Pray in response – to our God , the God who is with us

Pray your own words at the start of this day
Of praise and worship – for Jesus
Of confession and trust – to Jesus
Of need – for yourself and others

O LORD, have mercy on each and all and give blessings we ask
