Pause to Pray for Others

On this Monday in November…as the nation and the world still wrestles with new cases and vaccine supplies…and other points of crisis and concern… you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world – and for parts of the world in turmoil at this time

For family and friends and neighbours

For those grieving and mourning the loss of a loved one especially at this time of the year

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and world leaders at this time of decision making as COP26 continues

Daily Devotions for Monday 8th November, 2021

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : PSALM 13

Meditation : As we pause with God this morning we take time to consider these words.
The psalmist asks for God’s help.

Pray in response – to our God , the God we believe and trust in

Pray your own words at the start of this day
Of praise and worship
Of confession and trust
For God’s help – for yourself and others

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessings on the work of Open Doors in the Middle East
O LORD, have mercy on all we call out and pour rich blessings!

Evening
Reading : read the passage again from PSALM 13 at the end of your day
Reflect….. and then pause to pray to God in response

LORD God, the LORD Almighty, hear my prayer this evening.
As I thank you for your help even to me
As I confess my sins this day
As I humbly name others in need before you.
As I lay myself and this world before you
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
