Morning

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God

Reading : 1 Peter 4 verse 12 – ch.5 verse 14

Meditation :  take time to consider these particular words as Peter’s letter ends.
What do they teach you about suffering as a Christian? about elders in the Church?
About the God of all grace?

and then pray to this God of all help and amazing grace.

O LORD God,
As I read these words
Help me|
Help me
And make them true in my life.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Pray for your church family to know Sunday blessings
O LORD, our God, hear our cry at this time of the day.

Evening

Reading : read these verses again

Reflect on the words and themes and then Pray in response

O LORD God, God of all grace, hear our evening prayers we ask
As we thank you for Sunday blessings
Help in our suffering
The gift of elders to lead us
And Your amazing grace over all to sustain and equip us.

In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Reading : 1 Peter 4 verses 1-11

Meditation : consider these verses again at the end of your week.
What is God saying to you – afresh – or again?
What is your response to your Word this morning?                 

And then take time to Pray in response to the truths you have considered

O God of Perfect Truth,
Hear my morning prayer
And by Your Spirit’s help
Make me a person of truth
Living out Your Word
Even today.

Amen we pray together this new day.

Pray God’s blessings on those preparing to preach tomorrow in our land

O LORD, hear our prayers we ask and may Your Word be spoken out
heard and received and bearing visible fruit in these days.

For yourself and for others.) 

O LORD, receive our praise and hear our prayers,
And by Your Holy Spirit may these be true and living for me.
