Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the LORD God, the Eternal One
Reading : PSALM 84

Meditation : take time to carefully consider this lovely psalm as your day starts.
Which words or images stay with you?
What is God saying to you today from Psalm 84?
What is your response to Him?

Pray in response – pausing and resting in God’s Presence
Claiming His truth and promises.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your midday prayer
(See Matthew 6 or online under the Prayer tab on LK website)
Father God of grace and mercy, hear our prayers.

Evening
Reading : read the verses again from Psalm 84
Reflect on their meaning for you and pray in response…to the God of rest and strength
O Living and True God, hear our evening prayers
As we rest in you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Look again at verses 7-12 this morning as you turn to God in prayer.

Take time to Pray with God in response to what you have read and considered

O LORD God,
Holy, holy, holy.
Have mercy we ask
For in Christ alone we stand.
Cleanse us
Renew us
Restore to us the joy of your salvation!

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those in need of knowing God’s forgiveness at this time
O LORD God, hear and answer our prayers.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Evening
Reading : read Psalm 51 again as your day ends
Reflect on the truths beyond the words and then Pray to David’s God …our God
O Father, Son and Holy Spirit, hear our evening prayers
As we speak out our confessions to You
As we return our thanks to you for the blessings of this day
As we head through the night to a new day
And as StageNSlam starts in our community.

#Help ThyKingdomCome

In our land and across our world during May believers and followers of Jesus were invited to pause and pray for the Kingdom of God to be experienced and evidenced anew. This was a venture created by God through the Archbishop of Canterbury and others.

As part of our daily devotional rhythm there are 11 posts on our website and social media pages – each Saturday morning at 8am – on the various themes brought to us by the Thy Kingdom Come prayer venture leaders.

Today we are invited to pause in God’s presence – and bring Him our prayers for His help.strong>

Please take a few minutes to pray your prayers this morning – for others – for yourself.
Ask Father God for His help for something specific.
Name before Him someone in need known to you.
Ask for the Spirit to help each of us to speak up for Jesus – before, during and after Big Alpha.

Pray in response to Him…our Good Shepherd
For yourself and for others at this time

Our good God,
Thank you for what we read
And all you promise here.
Hear our prayers
And guide us through this day we ask

Pray God’s blessing on those struggling with family life at this time
Father God, hear our prayers, give wisdom and patience and bless them real good we ask.


Evening
Reading : read these 6 verses again
Reflect prayerfully on the words and images ….. and then Pray in response
Especially for others who feel lost, in need of being restored or going through a dark valley
Spirit of the Living God, hear our evening prayers at the end of this day
And be with those we name before you.

Job has suffered much – and not always been given good advice from others
(chapters 1 is worth a read sometime) – But what a final chapter!
What does it teach you? Is there something you need to thank God for today?
What is your response to God’s Word from Job?

Take time out with God in Prayer in response – as God leads you
