Daily Devotions for Saturday 14th October, 2023

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : JOHN 12 verses 37-49
Meditation : take the time to consider these particular verses this Saturday morning.
Unbelief.

What are you encouraged and challenged by from God’s written Word?
Which words stay with you as your day starts?

And then take time to Pray in response to this God
Pray honestly….humbly…..

Amen we pray together this new day.

Midday
Pray the Prayer for the Month as your own Midday Prayer

Jesus said, “I am the way the truth and the life……If you knew me
you would know the Father as well.”
We pray: – Lord abide in us as the Father does in you.
Amen

Evening
Reading : read the verses again from JOHN 12 verses 37-49
Reflect on the truths behind the words…. and then Pray in response to what you have read

Examine me, O God, and know my mind;
test me, and discover my thoughts.
Find out if there is any evil in me
and guide me in the everlasting way

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

As we step into Back to Communion Sunday….. with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from JOHN 7 verses 41-44 again – as we consider TELLING OTHERS THE GOOD NEWS about Jesus through 2023.

We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer as the day closes

We REJOICE in the help and blessings He has given this particular Saturday – to us and to others

We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others in our church family and our nation and in our world at this time – especially prayerfully supporting the people of Ukraine, Libya, Morocco and other parts of our world in deep need at this time

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow – and the new month ahead
