Communion Sunday

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus – our Redeemer and Saviour

Reading : GENESIS 6 verse 5 – chapter 7 verse 24

Meditation : take time and consider these words about Noah and the Flood as your day starts.
Which words stay with you?
Consider some of the discussions Noah and his family must have had!

Pray in response to this God – for our world.

My God,
Have mercy
And hear my prayer.
Amen and Amen.

Midday
Pray for the Church in our world to experience Sunday blessings
O God of Life and Hope, hear our prayers!

Evening
Reading : read these verses again
Reflect on your day – and Pray in response to what you read
God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – hear our evening prayers.
As we return our Sunday praise to you
And bring our evening prayers for ourselves and our world
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

#ThyKingdomCome

As part of the Thy Kingdom Come prayer venture, today’s prayer theme is #ThyKingdomCome

As we look back over these 10 days – give thanks for what God has done and is doing in our country and across the world!

As we celebrate Pentecost today – pray for and anticipate the gift and Person and presence of the Holy Spirit – even today in our lives and in our churches!

Father God, hear us as we prayerfully call out ‘Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven’.

cairn

Each Sunday morning, after the 11am service, there are opportunities to make use of the Prayer Stations in the church building.

There are members of the Prayer Team on duty in two locations – at the prayer corner near the East Door and at the back of the sanctuary – who are available for prayer ministry – to pray with you about an issue or to give thanks with you for an answer to prayer.

The Prayer Tree is also available at the East Door – for prayer requests and answers to be added – if you prefer not to talk to someone on duty.

We believe in Prayer – let’s put it into practice together!
