Meditation : take time and consider this part of the Bible story this morning.
The return to Nazareth.
What is God teaching/reminding you?
Is there someone/somewhere you need to return to?

And then pray in response – as your day starts

Pray your own words of faith and trust to the LORD our God.
Naming others before Father God.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on the work of TEARFUND in our world
Father God…hear our prayers and bless this venture we ask.

Evening
Reading : read this short passage again from MATTHEW 2 verses 19-23
Reflect on the words and images at the end of your day
and Pray in response to God – with your words of faith and trust

O LORD, hear our evening prayers
As we return our thanks to you
For all your good gifts to us today.
We name others on a journey before you.

and Pray in response to this God of ours with confidence

As we thank You for Your help in our lives.
O have mercy we ask

As we journey through Advent….. with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from ISAIAH chapter 7 verses 1-17– as we consider the GOOD NEWS about Jesus this December 2022 – and those we journey with

We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer as the day closes

We REJOICE in the help and blessings He has given this particular Thursday – to us and to others

We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others in our church family and our nation and in our world at this time

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow

What does this promise fulfilled mean to you?
Is there a message you have recently received –
A message to give thanks for?
A person to pray for?
A situation/country in need?

Then pray in response to the LORD as your day starts
With thanksgiving for Jesus, God with us

Lord, hear our prayers and give blessing we ask.
