Thy Kingdom Come #silence

As part of our rhythm of daily and weekly prayer and devotion as a Church, we are revisiting the themes of the recent Thy Kingdom Come prayer venture around Pentecost on a Saturday morning at 9.05am.

We are called today to take the time to pause and pray….in silence

Find somewhere to be quiet
with Father God

Ask
Seek
Knock
Listen
Hear
strong>

Be still and know that he is God

We are also reminded today to pause and pray for the Kingdom of God to be evidenced anew in our day. We are invited to pray for up to 5 people – family, friend, neighbour, colleague – to meet with Jesus.

Daily Devotions for Tuesday 6th August, 2019

Upper Room day – time out with God

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : HOSEA chapter 4

Meditation : consider all that is said here… at the start of your day.
What words stay with you? What is God saying to you from His Word?

And then Pray in response to what you have read
Taking time to wait before God

Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
I have read these words
And now I pray for you to work them out
as a living reality in my life – even today
as I thank you that you are with me
on my journey through life.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen.

Midday

Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
…..and respond to His voice….
Father God…thank you.

Evening
Reading : read the verses again from Hosea 4
Reflect prayerfully on these words…. And then pray as your day closes
LORD God, our great God,
For all of today
I thank You,
Even for those things that have caused me fear and concern.
Help me to rest in Your unfailing love and on Your faithful Word
As I wait for tomorrow.
As I look around at this world
In these days.
Have mercy O Lord!
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
