Thy Kingdom Come #adore

Each Saturday morning we are revisiting a theme from the Thy Kingdom Come prayer venture… something that was launched by the Archbishop of Canterbury for the days leading up to Pentecost in the last two years….it was a call for the Church to seek and experience God’s Kingdom rule in our lives and churches and communities and land and across our world.

Today we pause to pray….and Adore Him, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore Him above all else
O come let us adore Him above all others

Praise my soul the King of Heaven!

In Jesus’ name
Amen we say together.

Daily Devotions for 8th January, 2019

Upper Room day

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God
Reading : GENESIS chapter 7

Meditation : consider all that happens here… at the start of your day.
What words stay with you? What is God saying to you from His Word?

And then Pray in response to what you have read
Taking time to wait before God

Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
I have read these words
And now I pray for you to work them out
as a living reality in my life – in our world – even today.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen
.

Midday

Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
…..and respond to His voice….
Father God…thank you.

Evening
Reading : read the verses again from Genesis 7
Reflect prayerfully on these words…. And then pray as your day closes
LORD God, our great God,
For all of today
I thank You,
Even for those things that have caused me fear and concern.
Help me to rest in Your unfailing love and on Your faithful Word
As I wait for tomorrow.
As I look around at this world
In these days.
Have mercy O Lord!
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
