Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Three in One

Reading : HABAKKUK 2 verses 2-20

Meditation : Consider these words of answer as we pause with Habakkuk today.
What has God been saying to you recently?

I will climb my watchtower
and wait to see what the LORD will tell me to say
and what answer he will give to my complaint.

And then take the time to Pray in response to what you have read
Pausing. Waiting. Hearing. Receiving.

In Jesus’ name
Amen and amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on the work of Christian Aid in our world
O LORD, hear our prayers and bless them all real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read the words again from HABAKKUK 2
Reflect on the words you read and then pray in response to this God, our God

P-ause with God
R-ejoice in His answers
A-sk for someone else
Y-ield to God’s ways

A Call to Evening Prayer with Others

As your Wednesday closes you are invited to pause and pray with others in our Church Family as the new week and new month have begun

You may want to revisit the Daily Devotions for today from LEVITICUS 5 verse 14- ch.6 verse 7

You are encouraged to follow the pattern of P-R-A-Y which we have found to be a blessing from Lectio365/24-7 Prayer

P ause in God’s presence – acknowledge He is with you where you are

R ejoice in the blessings of this day He has given

A sk for His help – for yourself and for a situation/person known to you at this time

Y ield to His Kingdom will for tomorrow – say yes!

Pause to Pray for Others

On this Wednesday in November…as the nation and the world still wrestles with new cases and vaccine supplies…and other points of crisis and concern… you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world – and for parts of the world in turmoil at this time

For family and friends and neighbours

For the Church in Glasgow at this time – to be salt and light

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and world leaders at this time of decision making during COP26
