Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : JOHN chapter 10 vs 1-21

Meditation : take time and consider these words this morning.
Jesus, the Good Shepherd.
What do they say to you today about Jesus and His followers?

Then pray in response – to this Jesus

(Pray your own words to the LORD God
In worship and thanks for what you have read,
In confession and need to be more like Jesus,
And to listen for His voice – even today.)

O LORD, receive our praise and hear our prayers
As we listen for your voice to us
Even today
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on the work of Street Pastors in our city.
God of grace…hear our prayers and pour a blessing we ask on each and all

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from John 10
Reflect on the words and images – at the end of your day
and Pray in response to this Good Shepherd
O LORD, hear our evening prayers
As we look upward and forward.
As we thank you for your guidance through this day
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

This advent season, Tearfund Scotland are coming to Liberton Kirk with the New Scottish Hymn Band as part of their annual Christmas Concert tour. An evening of festive cheer with beautiful acoustic carols and original songs is in store for you. So don’t forget to save the date and join in the celebration!

New Scottish Hymns Band is a gospel-hearted music ministry, influenced by Scottish folk melodies and the best of traditional hymn-writing. Their passion is for the church to have more songs that help people from different backgrounds and cultures unite under a common theme: the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Tearfund is a Christian relief and development agency. It works in around 50 countries, with a primary focus on supporting those in poverty and providing disaster relief for disadvantaged communities.

Pray with honest humility

Pray God’s blessing on the leaders of our Link Groups
O LORD God, have mercy on each and all and hear our prayers this day.

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from John 7
Reflect on the words and images and people …. And then pray to this God of ours
Hear our evening prayers, O God, as this day ends.
We believe and trust in You and lay ourselves before You.
