Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Three in One

Reading : 1 Peter 3 verses 13-16

Meditation : prayerfully consider these particular verses.
What words stay with you?

then pray in response….around the words of verse 15

O LORD our God,
Thank you for these words
And all they teach me.
May my hope in You
Reach someone else today.
Amen and amen!

Midday

Pray God’s blessing on those suffering for doing right
O LORD, hear our prayers and have mercy we call out

Evening

Reading : read these set verses again

Reflect on the words you have read and then pray in response
LORD God, Father God, our God, hear our evening prayers

Upper Room Day

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus, Saviour and Lord

Reading : 1 Peter 3 verses 10-12

Meditation : take time and consider what is said here.
Note verse 12 again. What do the words say to you today?

Take time to Pray in response

Lord Jesus,
I believe
Help my unbelief….Even now as I read these words
And make me truly more like you.
In Your name I ask, Amen.

Midday

Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
Ask…..seek…..knock………..hear!

Lord, thank you.

Evening

Reading : read these 3 verses again

Reflect….on the words written and then Pray in response to Father God

O God who changes from the inside out
Hear my evening prayer.
Amen and Amen.

Meditation : take time and consider these 2 verses as your day starts.
What is God saying to you today? What is your response to Him?

Pray in response to what your have read

Of praise and worship
Of confession and trust
Of understanding and need)
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your own midday prayer

LORD God, Father God, hear our prayers we ask.

Evening

Reading : read Peter’s words again

Reflect on their meaning and then pray to God in response
Father God, hear my prayers as this day ends.

Living in the Firing Line

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God

Reading : 1 Peter 3 verses 8-22

Meditation :  take time and consider all these words from Peter in this part of his letter.    What was he saying to his readers?
What is God saying to you today? What is your response to Him?

and then pray honestly in response

O LORD God,
God of all truth and justice
Thank you for what we read.
And that You haven’t finished with me yet.
Help me to please You afresh this day
In thought and word and action – whatever the cost.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

O LORD, God of mercy, hear our cry!
