Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Three in One

Reading : JOHN 3 verses 14- 17

Meditation : consider these particular verses slowly as your day starts.
What words stay with you?
Look again at verse 16 as you turn to God in prayer this morning.

then pray in response….for yourself and for others in our world

O LORD our God,
Father God of true love,
With thankful hearts
We thank you for these words
And all they say!
May my faith in Jesus
Reach someone else today.

In Jesus’ name,

Pray God’s blessing on the Beavers and Scouts who meet in our halls

O LORD, hear our prayers and show your love we call out

Evening

Reading : read these few verses again

Reflect on the words you have read and then pray in response to this God of perfect love

LORD God, Father God, our God, receive our evening prayers and praise.
In Jesus’ name,   Amen.

Reading : JOHN 8 verses 9- 13

Meditation : consider these words and what Jesus said.
Ponder verse 12 again.  What is He saying to you today and what is your response to Him?

Take time to Pray in response this morning

Lord Jesus,
I believe
But help my unbelief….Even now as I read these words
And make me a person who wholly believes in you – even today.

In Your name I ask, Amen.

Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
Ask…..seek…..knock………..hear!

LORD and God, thank you.

Reading : read these few verses again from John 3

Reflect….on the words spoken and then Pray in response to this Jesus

O Jesus, who spoke with Nicodemus,
Hear my evening prayer and keep on speaking with me.

What is your response to Him?

Pray in response to what your have read – for yourself and for others
For a fresh outpouring of His Holy Spirit in our time – even today where you are

Of confession and need
Of understanding and trust
For others and yourself)
