Pray to hear and receive from the LORD God, the Eternal One

Reading : JOHN 16 verses 17-24
Meditation : consider these verses..slowly…and what they meant to those first disciples

Pray in response to the same Jesus
O Lord,
Hear our morning prayers.
Amen and amen we pray together this day.

Pray for someone in need known to you
O LORD, hear our prayers! 

Evening

Reading : read the verses again

Reflect on the words and pray in response…
Lord of lords….yesterday, today and forever… hear our evening prayers.

Morning

Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : JOHN 16 verses 12-16
Meditation : take time to consider these verses….
Is the Spirit of Truth our guide? In what ways?

Pray in response around the words you have just read
Lord Jesus,
Help me
to let Your Spirit
guide and lead me
willingly.
Even today.
Amen.

Pray for your church to know Sunday blessings!
O God, hear our prayers. Thank you!

Reading : read these verses again – esp 13 and 14

Reflect on what you read…..and Pray in response
O Father, Son and Holy Spirit, hear our prayers.

Meditation : consider how the Spirit is at work in our world…

Pray in response…..for the words to be a living reality in our times
O Spirit of God,
How we need You.
How our world needs You.
Hear our cry and move among our peoples
Our nations
Our leaders
O use us – even today
In Jesus’ name we ask- Amen.

Pray God’s blessing on those who feel everything is against them in life at this time
O LORD, hear our prayers. 

Evening

Reading : read Jesus’ words here in John 16 again

Reflect ….. and Pray in humble response
Spirit of the Living God, hear our evening prayers.

Pray to hear and receive from the LORD God

Reading :  JOHN 16 verses 5-11
Meditation :  take time and consider the Person and work of the Holy Spirit
as Jesus speaks here in his prayer…..what does it all mean for you?

And then Pray to learn from Him – even today
Spirit of God
Teach us
Lead us
Truly fill us
Use us – even us
That God’s kingdom comes, Your will is done.
Amen.

Pray for all those grieving the loss of a loved one
O LORD God, hear our prayers and let your comfort flow we ask.
