Morning
Reading :   John 14 vs 1-14
Meditation :  consider what Thomas asked, Philip said and what Jesus promised
–  and then pray in response to believe in Him who is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
O Jesus,
I read these words,
Now hear my prayer I ask,
And help me to trust and obey You
With a clearer understanding
Through all my questions,
Even this new day!
Amen I pray.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on all those who serve us in leadership at LK and in our churches
LORD, hear our prayers.

Evening
Reading :  John 14 v 6
Reflect on these words again of Jesus and pray in response to Him
  Lord Jesus, my Saviour, hear my evening prayer.

Reading :  John 13 vs 18-38
Meditation :  consider here Peter….Judas….and all that Jesus knew         
Pray in response to Him
Lord Jesus,
Forgive us, Forgive me, For failing you
With my thoughts, my words, my actions.
Help me I pray to be more loyal and true to You
Above all others.
Amen and amen we pray together.

Pray for an Advent blessing on our city!
Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayers!

Evening
Reading :  John 13 v 33
Reflect on our Saviour God in heaven and pray to Him!
LORD God, our great God,
For who You are – I worship You.
For all of today – I thank You.
For being with me tomorrow – I trust You.

asking God to show you someone you can help today

Pray, asking God if there is someone you could bring to a church service tomorrow

O LORD God, in Your mercy, hear our prayers!

O God of the poor and the poor in spirit, hear my prayer.

Reading :  John 11 vs 1-44
Meditation : consider all that happened here – to Mary, Martha, Jesus, his disciples
– and Lazarus!!!
– and then pray for understanding and to trust this Jesus more and more
O God of life and death
Of mountain top and dark valley,
We worship You this morning
For what we read, and Your power even over death in Christ Jesus.
Help us believe. Help us trust. Help us hope beyond the grave!

Pray to Him, for protection and good pasture even this day.
Faithful and loving and good Shepherd,
Thank you for these verses this morning.
Help me trust You afresh
Above my fears, my weaknesses and my enemies.
You are my strength, my Rock, my Saviour.
