Daily Devotions for Saturday 12th January, 2019

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit
Reading : PSALM 5

Meditation : take time to consider these verses written here.
What do they mean for you?
What is God saying to you today?

And then Pray in response to what you read – to this God.

O LORD God,
I read
I believe
I worship You
With cries of joy.
Oh this day
Help me to keep my eyes upward, inward and outward
Amen we pray together.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those struggling in their prayer life
God of grace and mercy hear our prayers and bless each and all real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read this Psalm again
Reflect on this God, your God…. and then Praise Him in your evening Prayer
LORD God, our God, receive our praise
For who You are!
For all you have done for us!
And as we give it all back to you
May you continue to reach and save people
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done across our world
In our community, in our city.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Reading : GENESIS 9 verses 18-29

Meditation : consider all that happens here as your day starts!
How would you describe Noah’s relationship with his sons?

And then Pray in response – as God leads you
Pray with confidence to our Father God

Amen – we pray together.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those who have family troubles at this time
Father God, hear our prayers, show mercy and bless them real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read the passage again
Reflect on the words you have just read and pray in response
Lord Jesus, hear our evening prayers
And bring a blessing to those in our family circle we ask
Amen.

Why did Noah offer a sacrifice?
What is God saying to you today as your day starts?
Is there a response of sacrifice God is asking of you?

And then pray in response – to our Saviour God

O LORD our God,
Forgive us,
Help us,
Hear us
Receive our sacrifices this day
As we work to see Your Kingdom come,
Your will being done above all else.
