Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus, Saviour and Lord
Reading : GENESIS chapter 33

Meditation : take time and consider these verses this morning about these two brothers
What words stay with you?
What is God saying to you today?

Take time to Pray in response – including for others in your family at this time

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
Ask and seek and knock……and hear
Father God…thank you.

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from Genesis 33
Reflect…. and then Pray as your day closes
God of Jacob and the God of today,
My God, our God,
Hear our evening prayers.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : GENESIS 32 verses 22-32

Meditation : prayerfully consider this passage – and all that happens!
What does it mean for you today?
What is God saying to you this morning?
Which words will you hold onto through this day?

Pray in response – to our God of amazing blessings
As you wrestle in prayer with Him
And receive from Him a Peniel gift.

(Pray your own words of honesty at the start of this day
Of praise and worship
Of confession and trust
Of need)

Pray God’s blessings on the land and people of Indonesia
O LORD, have mercy on all we call out and pour rich blessings!

Evening
Reading : read these verses again prayerfully at the end of your day
Reflect….. and then pray to God in response..noting verse 30 again
Father God, hear my wrestled-prayer this evening.
As I humbly trust in Jesus, my Saviour.
