Morning

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the LORD God

Reading :  Matthew 6 verses 16-18

Meditation :  consider slowly these 3 verses.
What do they teach you?
What is God saying to you from them today?

And then Pray in response

Father God
Teach us to pray
To live
To work
To rest and play
That in all things we seek to please you,
That Your kingdom come, your will is done.
Amen.

Midday

Pray for peace in our world
Amen and Amen, O God.

Evening

Reading : read the verses again

Reflect on their meaning and then pray…..
O Lord, hear our evening prayers.

Morning

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : Matthew 6 verses 9-15

Meditation : take time and consider this familiar prayer taught by Jesus
Which phrase or words do you hold onto?
What is God teaching you today from this prayer? 

Pray in response…using the words that stay with you from these verses

Father God
Today I call out to you afresh
…in Jesus’ Name.
Amen.

Midday

Pray God’s blessing on Christian believers in prisons in our world
O God…protect and use them we ask. 

Evening

Reading : read these familiar verses again

Reflect on the words, verse by verse, and then Pray in response as the Spirit leads you
Father God, hear my evening prayer.

Morning

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God

Reading : Matthew 6 verses 5-8

Meditation :  take time to consider these words from Jesus
Which words are you drawn to?
What is your response to Him today?

Then take time to Pray to the One who spoke these words

Lord Jesus
I read these words,
Teach me what they mean for me this day
And how I should then be praying
Even this day.
Amen I pray.

Midday

Pray God’s hand of blessing to continue upon the work of Try Praying
O LORD God, hear our prayers and thank you for this channel of your grace.

Evening

Reading : read these 4 verses again

Reflect …. and pray alone with Father God at the end of your day
Amen and Amen we pray, O Father.

Morning

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God our heavenly Father

Reading : Matthew 5 verses 38-48

Meditation :  take time to consider these words by Jesus as your day starts
Note verses 42 and 44 again…

and then put these words into practice in your morning prayer of response 

(Pray your own words in response to what you have read and meditated on )
In and through Christ Jesus alone we pray this morning, Amen.

Midday

Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your midday prayer
(See Matthew 6 or online under the Prayer tab on LK website)

God of grace and mercy…and hope, hear our prayers.

Evening

Reflect at the end of your day….. and then pray for others

My God,

And help me afresh to live my life for You
With every word I speak – even today.
