Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the LORD God

Reading :  MICAH 5 verses 1-5

Meditation :  take time to consider these words of prophecy from Micah some 750 years before Jesus was born.   What was God promising?

What is your response to God’s Word today?

Take time out with God in Prayer in response – as God leads you

LORD God,
Thank you that you
Keep your word
And honour your promises.
Thank you for promising to send Jesus
And doing so!!

In Jesus’ name we pray this morning,

Pray God’s blessing on a family living near you

O LORD God, have mercy on those we name and hear our prayers.

Evening

Reading : read these words again from Micah 5

Reflect ….and then pray…..for the town of Bethlehem in these days

O Lord, hear our prayers at this evening hour
And bless dear Bethlehem and all within her walls we ask, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Reading : ISAIAH 9 verse 7

Meditation : take time and consider these words as your day starts.
What words stay with you?
What is God saying to you today and what is your response to Him?

Then take time to Pray in response

LORD God
Thank you for these words
And all they say to me this day.
Thank you that you reign
Forever
With true justice and righteousness!
Oh reign afresh in me
I pray this day.

Pray God’s blessing on families in our community
O LORD God, have mercy on each and all and hear our prayers. 

Evening

Reflect on these words and truths and then Pray in response as your day ends

Eternal God, hear my evening prayer

Meditation :  take time to consider the words ‘Prince of Peace’ = Jesus.
What does this mean to you? What is God saying to you today?

Then take time to Pray to our God of perfect peace.
For yourself, for others, for our world.

Father God, hear our prayers and bless all real good we ask

Evening

Reading : read these particular words again from Isaiah 9

Reflect on their meaning …. and pray to the One who is the Prince of Peace

O Prince of Peace, hear our evening prayers we ask,

Meditation :   take time to consider the words ‘Everlasting Father’ = Jesus
What is God saying to you today? What is your response to Him? 

Pray in response – using the verse in your morning prayer

O Father God,
Eternal and true,
Thank you that you are always there for me,
Everlasting and good,
Hear our morning prayers

Ask, seek, knock……hear

Show your power and astonish even today
