Reading: ROMANS 6 verses 1-4.

Meditation: pause with God this morning. Prayerfully consider these words written here…

What are you challenged and encouraged by this morning?

Then then turn to pray to God.

Thank You for the new life that we can celebrate each new day with You; here and evermore.

In Jesus’ name, amen!

Midday

We pray God’s blessing on Christian Aid work in our world.

O LORD God, keep safe those who spread Your word and open the hearts of those who hear it.

Evening

Reading: read the verses again from ROMANS 6 verses 1-4.

Reflect… and then pray to the LORD our God

Hear our evening prayers, O God, as this day ends.

We believe and trust in You and lay ourselves and all we have before You

Forgive us when we have not followed Your ways today and help us be better tomorrow.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

Morning

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus, Saviour and Lord

Reading: ROMANS 5 verses 12-21.

Meditation: as we pause with God today, we consider these truths…

Condemnation.

Salvation.

What words or images stay with you?

What is God saying to you afresh today?

…and then respond in prayer with Him.

At the beginning of this day, I ask for the strength to follow Your laws.

I know that at some point I will do wrong and need redemption.

Thank You that I can be washed clean and can try again tomorrow.

In Your name, amen.

Midday

Take time to listen for God to speak with you – Ask, seek, knock….hear!

Father God, what are You saying to me?

Father God, what do You want me to do?

Father God, I am listening.

Evening

Reading: read the words again from ROMANS 5verses 12-21.

Reflect and then pray in response to God.

LORD, forgive me the wrong we thought, said and did today.

Thank You that we can be made righteous through Your son,

And that we can be with You eternally, only by Your grace.

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading: ROMANS 5 verses 9-11.

Meditation: as we pause with God, take time to consider these particular words today…

What words stay with you today?

…then pray in response.

Pray your own words at the start of this day.

Pray in thanks for the salvation given to you.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

Midday

Pray God’s blessing on the work of TEARFUND in our world.

God of salvation and love, bring blessings to those you mission throughout this world.

Evening

Reading: read these verses again from ROMANS 5 verses 9-11.

Reflect and then pray to this God in response.

Saviour Jesus, thank for the salvation that is only possible through Your blood.

Thank You that we are counted among Your friends.

We humbly bow before you now to ask that you give us an opportunity in this coming week to share Your love with our friends and family so they too can know reconciliation with the Father.

Morning

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God

Reading: ROMANS 5 verses 6-8.

Meditation: we take time to consider these words this morning…

Verses 8: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

And then we pray to this God in response.

We pray to you, our Father and our Saviour.

Thank you that You show Your love to us.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

Midday

Pray the Prayer for the Month as your own midday prayer

Father, you have freed us.

Jesus, you have died for us.

Holy Spirit, you live in us.

Father, we offer ourselves to you.

Jesus, through You we die to sin.

Holy Spirit, thank you for life and peace.

Amen

Evening

Reading: read these set words again from ROMANS 5 verses 6-8.

Reflect… and then Pray to this God of ours.

O LORD, God to the powerless, hear our evening prayers we ask,

We thank You for the blessings of this Sunday.

As we believe in Your resurrection,

We thank You for Your love,

And we ask for the opportunity to share that love with others in the next week,

Daily Devotion for Saturday 12th July 2025

Morning

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading: ROMANS 5 verses 1-5.

Meditation: as we pause with Jesus, we take time to consider these words and truths afresh.

Boast in hope of the glory of God

And then Pray to this God

In Jesus’ name, we pray together this new day, amen.

Midday

Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your own midday prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven

Hallowed be Your Name.

Your kingdom come

Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread

And forgive us our sins

As we forgive those who sin against us.

Lead us not into temptation

But deliver us from evil.

For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.

Now and for ever

Amen

Reflect… and then Pray to this God of ours.

LORD God, thank you for Your suffering.

Help us see glory in our own pain.

For through suffering we build a character of hope,

That has been renewed by your love.

Father God, hear our prayers. Pour blessings on each person and event within this church, its people and its events.

Evening

Reading: read this verse again from ROMANS 4 verses 13-25.

Take time to reflect and pray to God.

O LORD, hear our evening prayers.

We thank you for all your provisions,

Physical, emotional and spiritual.

We believe,

Help our unbelief.

We praise you for the deliverance from sins.
